[the relentless rain brought on by vah ruta's rampage doesn't bother alca — not exactly — but it does make it hard to cook. he can't just build a fire wherever he wants, not while it's raining... so he winds up making camp in a small cave on the banks of the zora river, where he uses some firewood and flint he has on hand to build a fire.
he's not usually in this part of lanayru — or at least, he doesn't remember being in it — but he's happy enough with the food he's caught for the day. the rain has lured out rare fish he wouldn't normally spot in these waters! he's got some neatly sliced hearty bass sizzling in his pan, so he's just singing to himself, waiting for everything to cook. the fire is visible to anyone who might be swimming in the river...]

But if you come with me, I'll ensure your safety. You wouldn't have to stay if you feel uncomfortable, Alca. [ his smile evens out, staying gentle--- basically, no teeth showing. ] I am skilled with a bow and if that fails, we are swimmers. We can get away from them easily.
[ with a bow of his head, he suddenly raises it with a look of fierce determination! ]
You could show off your cooking skills, as a Zora who has traveled the furthest from our land... and we would be happy to compensate you.

[he taps his feet on the ground, alternating feet between taps. the overall effect is a bit silly, but it's clear that he's excited, at least.]

[given that he loves food, it's uncommon for alca to spontaneously forget about his meal. but he's just so very excited! plus, it's sort of nice to sit close to sidon. he's so big! he looks so strong! sidon wouldn't let alca get captured and trussed up by bokoblins, right? that's happened a couple of times...]
I'm really happy. I've seen a lot of Hylians and Gerudo, but never other Zora.
[alca pops some more bass in his mouth. nyum nyum nyum nyum.]

Really? No other Zora, but you've encountered other races! That's amazing, Alca. You probably have more knowledge than some of the eldest that live among us. We may need some time to get as much information from you as possible.
[ with a wide grin, he curls an arm around Alca in a friendly way. ]
I am. In the future, I will be King as well. I would hope by then, you will still be around to tell me about your travels.
