Aether laughs a little, generously allowing Alhaitham to partake as he pleases, until he's had his fill. He likes this, these gentle touches, and Haitham's inquisitive nosing. He's almost like an enormous cat. ]

[ Kaveh and Paimon likely won't emerge from their musical playroom for some time, and even if they do, and find Alhaitham and Aether missing, perhaps they won't question it — there are many reasons the scribe and the traveler could have slipped out for a bit of night air, or to sober up. Neither of them would have cause to check Alhaitham's room.
