[ Oh, so he's a sharp one. Sleipnir likes that in a man. Absolutely hates it, too, as it can make things troublesome if the nobleman has to lie to him later on. For the moment, at least, he hopes that working with this witcher won't be as tedious as he's been expecting it to be.

He's correct, of course: there have been previous efforts. Many previous efforts, at that. The letter should have summarized their afflictions well enough, but as for what they've previously tried... ]

My lord brother Barnabas would be the man to speak to about that. As he is currently afield in western Coerthas, however, he is unlikely to be present during the duration of your stay.

[ This is, of course, assuming that Geralt is gone within the turn of the moon. Sleipnir turns and half-looks at the man again. There might be a smile on his lips, but then perhaps that's just the shadows dancing across his face as they pass a wall sconce with lamplight still flickering in its depths. ]

I have borne witness to those methods we have previously tried, however. Ul'dahn mages, Gridanian conjurers... even an alchemist from Radz-at-Han, for a time. None could identify the culprit of our... unfortunate murders.
