swimbo: (that's not sus at all)
[The Alcor has been docked in its usual spot, beyond Guyun Stone Forest, for several days now. The crew has had its three-day voyage-ending bash. They had a hard journey back from Inazuma, full of rough waters and spoiling stores, and for once all of them were actually glad to see land again. Once the party was over, Beidou gave them all shore leave, down to the last man.

She, of course, is still on her flagship, walking its length, staring out at the twilight reflected in the sea.

Several of them offered to stay, of course, but she waved them on, promising to join them the next day. They'd restocked, and she just didn't feel quite like wandering Liyue Harbor and dealing with everything that entailed. Maybe tomorrow. She did take the time for a stroll along the nearby beach, a haphazard poke at a shell or two. For all that it's the sea she loves, there's something about the solid ground of home that will probably always call her back.

But now, back on the ship, she finishes her quiet lap and heads for the cargo stacked at the back of the ship. Well, "cargo", in that there're crates and boxes and bags, but most of their haul was offloaded when they arrived. Several of the containers sit empty, waiting for the next assignment.

Beidou sighs. It isn't unkind.]

You might as well show yourself.

[The myth, as she most recently heard it, is that she and the Alcor breathe as one. That she knows when something's walking on it even from far away. She doesn't really do anything to dispel the story. Why ruin their fun?]

Not too many people have the guts to sneak onto a Crux vessel, you know?
